This Privacy Policy explains what data the Override Copy & Auto-Fill browser extension ("the Extension", "we", "our") collects, how that data is used, where it is stored, and who it is shared with.

1. What the Extension Does

The Extension has two functions: (a) it re-enables text selection, copy, paste, and the right-click context menu on websites that block them; and (b) it provides an optional auto-fill feature that helps the user fill in repetitive form fields (such as Bangladesh birth-registration / BDRIS forms) from a saved profile.

এক্সটেনশনটি দুটি কাজ করে: (ক) যেসব সাইটে copy/paste/right-click বন্ধ থাকে সেগুলো চালু করে, এবং (খ) একটি ঐচ্ছিক auto-fill সুবিধা দেয় যা সংরক্ষিত প্রোফাইল থেকে ফর্ম পূরণ করতে সাহায্য করে।

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Personal information (only if you use Auto-Fill)

If — and only if — you choose to create an Auto-Fill profile, the Extension stores the information you enter into that profile. This may include:

Full name (in Bengali and/or English)
Date of birth, gender, religion, nationality
Father's name and mother's name (and their nationality)
Mobile / phone number
Address details (division, district, upazila, union, ward, post office, village, house/road)

This information is entered by you, for your own use. The Extension does not silently read, scrape, or collect personal data from web pages you visit.

আপনি নিজে Auto-Fill প্রোফাইল তৈরি করলে তবেই উপরের তথ্য (নাম, জন্ম তারিখ, বাবা-মায়ের নাম, মোবাইল, ঠিকানা ইত্যাদি) সংরক্ষণ হয়। এক্সটেনশন নিজে থেকে কোনো ওয়েব পেজ থেকে আপনার ব্যক্তিগত তথ্য সংগ্রহ করে না।

2.2 License & technical data

License key — the key you enter to activate a paid license.
Device identifier — a random anonymous ID (e.g. dev-xxxxxxxx) generated on your device to bind a license/trial to that device.
Trial status / expiry — to manage the free trial period.
IP address — your IP is seen by our license server only at the moment of a license/trial check and is used solely to limit one free trial per network. It is stored only in a reduced/bucketed form for abuse prevention and is not used to identify you.

2.3 Settings & preferences

Your Extension settings — such as which sites the Extension is enabled or disabled on, and feature toggles (clean copy, input bypass, etc.). This is configuration data, not personal data.

3. How We Use Your Data

Data	Purpose
Auto-Fill profile	To fill form fields on your command, and (optionally) to back it up so you can restore it after reinstalling.
License key, device ID, trial status	To verify your license/trial and prevent unauthorized use.
IP address	Abuse prevention only — to enforce one free trial per network.
Settings & preferences	To remember how you want the Extension to behave.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the Extension's single function. We do not sell your data.

4. Where Your Data Is Stored

4.1 On your device

Settings, license key, device ID and Auto-Fill profiles are stored locally on your device using Chrome's storage.local API.

4.2 Chrome Sync (your Google account)

Some settings and Auto-Fill profiles may be stored using Chrome's storage.sync, which Chrome synchronizes across your own signed-in browsers through your Google account. This data is handled by Google under Google's privacy terms.

4.3 Cloud backup (our license server)

To support license verification and an optional cloud backup/restore of your Auto-Fill profiles, the following data is transmitted over HTTPS to our server and stored there:

Your device ID and license key (for verification and trial control).
Your Auto-Fill profile data (for backup, so it can be restored after reinstall or on a new device with the same license).

This server is a Cloudflare Worker with Cloudflare KV storage, reachable at unblocker-licensing.sagarmandal712103.workers.dev. Data in transit is protected by HTTPS/TLS.

ক্লাউড ব্যাকআপ: লাইসেন্স যাচাই এবং প্রোফাইল ব্যাকআপের জন্য আপনার device ID, license key এবং Auto-Fill প্রোফাইল ডেটা HTTPS-এর মাধ্যমে আমাদের Cloudflare সার্ভারে পাঠানো হয় ও সেখানে সংরক্ষিত থাকে, যাতে রিইনস্টল বা নতুন ডিভাইসে আপনি প্রোফাইল ফিরে পেতে পারেন।

5. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data. We do not share it with advertisers. Your data is only processed by the infrastructure provider needed to run the service:

We may disclose data if required to do so by law.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Local data stays on your device until you remove it or uninstall the Extension.
Cloud-backed profiles and license records remain on our server until you request deletion. Trial records are automatically cleaned up by an expiry timer.
To delete your data: you can clear local data by removing the Extension, and you can request deletion of any cloud-stored profile or license record by contacting us (see Section 9). We will delete it promptly.

7. Data Security

All communication with our server uses HTTPS/TLS. License tokens are cryptographically signed (ECDSA P-256) so they cannot be forged on the device. We keep stored data to the minimum needed to provide the service.

8. Children's Privacy

The Extension is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

10. Changes to This Policy
